  1. INTRODUCTION

    On May 25, 2018, the most significant piece of European data protection legislation will come into force when the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the 1995 Data Protection Directive. ZANE  responsibly takes this change into account and is in the process of making its website fully GDPR compliant. For this purpose, we update our privacy policy which has been specifically adjusted to reflect the new regulation.

    ZANE is committed to protecting the data you share with us. This privacy policy explains how ZANE  processes information that can be used to directly or indirectly identify an individual (Data Subject), all of which is collected through the use of this website. It also, sets out how ZANE or third-party services, may use, process and store your personal information and how you, the user, can access, change or delete this information.     Where do we store your data?

    The data that we collect from you is stored within the European Economic Area (“EEA”) but may also be transferred to and processed in a country outside of the EEA. Any such transfer of your personal data will be carried out in compliance with applicable laws. For transfers outside the EEA, ZANE will use Standard Contractual Clauses and Privacy Shield as safeguards for countries without adequacy decision from the European Commission.

    Your data may be shared within ZANE members, such as the data processor and data analyst. All processes related to personal data are held with confidentiality and reliability.

  9. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA?

    Personal data related to your role as a customer of our online shop such as details of your placed orders will be kept for as long as you are an active customer.

    We will keep your data for direct marketing until you withdraw your consent. For e-mail marketing, we will consider you an inactive customer if you haven’t opened an e-mail for within the last year. After this time period, your personal data will be deleted. Regarding our customer services, we will use your personal data to manage your queries, answer questions, handle complaints and delivery issues through e-mail, our chat function, telephone and through social media. We will keep your data for 12 months, after this period your data will be fully deleted.

What do we collect? We, ZANE, do not collect data related to affiliate marketing. The data ShareASale tracks are all pseudonymous, non-sensitive, largely technical and not related to behavior, predictions or evaluations of consumer interest or personalities.

Why does ShareASale collect data? ShareASale, as part of Awin, primarily uses consumer data for tracking. Tracking enables Awin to understand a consumer’s online journey across particular websites made after viewing or clicking an advertisement. The purpose of tracking is to attribute sales and marketing efforts by a publisher to a particular transaction, to enable advertisers to reward publishers on a per transaction basis. Tracking also allows Awin to provide publishers and advertisers with related reports.

Any emails we may periodically send aim to inform you about special offers and news.   2. CHILDRENS’ PRIVACY

    This website is not directed to nor does it knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 16. Even though our website is not designed for use by anyone under the age of 16, we realize that a child under the age of 16 may attempt to access our website. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child is using our website, please contact us. Before we remove any information, we may ask for proof of identification to prevent malicious removal of account information. If we discover that a child is accessing our website, we will delete his/her information immediately.

  3. MEDICAL AND HEALTH INFORMATION

    Personal information you may voluntarily share with us related to any health situation remains strictly confidential. At no case do we ask for this information. If shared by you, we do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer such information to third-parties nor do we use it for marketing or advertising purposes. 

    Additionally, any medical information provided by ZANE about medical conditions and treatments should not be treated as advice. Any medical studies mentioned on this site about oregano oil and its therapeutic properties are indicative. When attempting to treat a medical situation you should always take advice from your doctor, pharmacist or another professional healthcare provider. ZANE will not accept responsibility when medical advice is missing or instructions are not followed accordingly.

    This website is controlled and operated by ZANE LP in Greece. ZANE LP makes the representation that this Privacy Policy and other policies on this site comply with any applicable laws inside the European Union and Greece.
